Synopsis
A321 Captain reported a pneumatic bleed leak malfunction during the climb to cruise altitude. The flight returned to the departure airport.
Narrative
The FO and I went to the gate. Did the pre-flight; the FO was pilot flying and did the departure briefing. Accomplished before start checklist. Pushed back from Gate X; started both engines accomplished after start checklist. Taxied to spot X and then to XXR. Accomplished before take off checklist and held short of XXR full length. Cleared to climb to 10' on the ZZZZZZ departure. ZZZ departure gave us a few headings to avoid some build ups. At about 29;000 we got the ECAM AIR eng 2 bleed leak message. The FO continued flying; I ran the ECAM. With this fault it said to avoid icing conditions; looked it up in the supplemental and said the same thing. Gave the radios to the FO while I called the dispatcher and he advised us to return to the field since there was weather along the route to our destination. I told the FO to inform ATC that we need to go back to ZZZ and that he had the radios while I informed the flight attendants and passengers. Once I was done with that we set up to land on XXC; did a land app and had a normal landing and taxi to the gate.
