Air carrier pilot reported confusing and contradictory information on MHR taxiway weight limits.
Synopsis
Air carrier pilot reported confusing and contradictory information on MHR taxiway weight limits.
Narrative
During our CRM brief we were discussing threats. The topic of the Jepp taxi diagram was discussed in conjunction with the airport company pages with regards to taxi restrictions. The aerodrome is expected to be unmanned per the airport company pages and this could be very confusing and crews would have to adhere to the governing documents provided and not be able to taxi to Runway 22R via back taxi on Runway 4R/22L when it is closed. Based off the legend on the Jepp diagram for MHR taxi diagram the legend indicates the entire Taxiway Delta was restricted to a MAX gross weight of 50;000 lb. or less. The airport company page is a guide and not a governing document such as the approved Jepp information provided. As a crew we agreed we had to cross Taxiway Delta to get to Runway 22R. Furthermore; we referenced the airport reference section for any exclusions or relief from this restriction from the taxi diagram. There was no relief provided and it was further defined the entire Taxiway Delta is limited to aircraft with a maximum gross weight 50;000 lb. or less. The airport company page indicates only to avoid Taxiway D1 and Taxiway Delta. The fact is we cannot avoid Taxiway Delta. For example; if the controlling authority gave us taxi instructions to taxi to Runway 22R via Taxiway Alpha and hold short Taxiway Delta. Per the diagram and reference information we are not permitted to cross that intersection. We inquired with the controlling authority about the restriction on the taxi diagram and reference information and it was stated that restriction only applies to between the two runways on Taxiway Delta which is a direct contradiction to the taxi diagram and the information provided in the airport reference in the EFB. As a result; we listened to the information by the controlling authority and proceeded across Taxiway Delta despite the information provided in governing charts and information. I recommend there be further clarification and refinement of the taxi diagram or a NOTAM stating it is acceptable for aircraft with a gross weight greater than 50;000 lb. are allowed to taxi across the Taxiway Delta at Taxiway Alpha.
