Synopsis
EMB-145 flight crew reported an EGPWS (Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System) activation during approach.
Narrative
During approach to landing runway XX; we were cleared the visual approach. The intercept angle was too wide to intercept the localizer appropriately and therefore; we went through the localizer for runway XX. The FO disengaged the autopilot when the aircraft was correcting to reintercept. While in the turn; the autopilot was disengaged and the FO continued the turn to get back on the localizer. We received two audible warnings of 'terrain; terrain' with no resolution advisory. We were visual and were continuing the turn towards runway XX with no terrain collision in sight. The aircraft must have been pointed at the trees momentarily while in the turn. There was no resolution advisory after the audible terrain; terrain. As we we straightening out; we got to about 1500' to 1400' and received a landing gear warning. We were fixated on visually returning to wings level while going towards runway XX. I immediately brought the gear down and we brought flaps 22 out. We were stable by 1000'. We continued the approach and landing.
