DURING A TRAINING FLT IN A SMA ACFT THE STUDENT FAILED TO DELAY TKOF FOR WAKE TURB AS INSTRUCTED BY TWR.

Narrative

DURING FLT TRAINING (TKOFS AND LNDGS) WE RECEIVED APPROX 3 LNDG CLRNCS WITH A 3 MIN WAKE TURB WARNING. '('N' NUMBER) CLRED FOR THE OPTION; 3 MIN WAKE TURB WARNING.' ON THE LAST LNDG WE ADVISED WE WOULD BE DEPARTING FOR CARO (78D) AFTER THE NEXT LNDG. ON DOWNWIND; AN MLG WAS ON FINAL; WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO EXTEND DOWNWIND. MY STUDENT MISSED THE CTLRS INSTRUCTION THAT SHE WOULD CALL OUR BASE LEG TURN. AS I MADE THE CORRECTION AND WAS EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED; WE GOT THE CLRNC '(SMA N NUMBER); CLRED TO LAND; 3 MINS WARNING FOR WAKE TURB; LNDG MLG.' DURING APCH; THE STUDENT MADE MINOR AIRSPD/PITCH/PWR CTL ERROR. ON LNDG ROLL; I INSTRUCTED TO CLEAN UP THE ACFT. THE STUDENT COMPLIED BUT ADVANCED PWR TO TKOF AND ROTATED. WINDS WERE A SLIGHT XWIND 30 DEGS FROM RWY HDG; 10 KTS; AND WE BECAME AIRBORNE IN A SHORT DISTANCE. IT WAS A MISUNDERSTOOD CLRNC ON THE STUDENT'S AND MY PARTS. I SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT IT BUT I ALSO MISSED IT. I GUESS I WAS IN THE CLRED FOR THE OPTION MODE CLRNCS WE HAD RECEIVED PRIOR TO THIS LNDG. THE CTLR WAS A FEMALE (TRAINEE). SHE XMITTED SOMETHING I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND. THEN THE TWR SUPVR CAME ON AND HEATEDLY INFORMED US OF OUR ERROR; INSTRUCTED US TO CONTACT DEP. NO FURTHER DISCUSSION WAS RECEIVED ABOUT THE SITUATION ENRTE TO 78D (CAR0). NO DANGER WAS INVOLVED IN THIS SITUATION; BUT I DO ADMIT I SHOULD HAVE NOT MISSED THIS CLRNC. STUDENT HAD HEADSET/PUSH TO TALK. I HAD NO MEANS OF COM EXCEPT THROUGH THE STUDENT. I JUST MISSED THE CLRED TO LAND AS A FULL STOP WAIT 3 MINS UNTIL TKOF. I JUST BLEW THAT ONE.
