Synopsis

SR22 pilot reported runway excursion during takeoff roll resulted in aircraft damage.

Narrative

On Day 0. pilot did preflight for flight leaving ZZZ and heading to ZZZ1. Pilot took Runway XX. Once power was put in plane started moving down runway. Left rudder was being put into to counter act the torque from prop. Noticed plane pushing to the left tried giving more left rudder to counter left drift. Once I felt the rudder pressure was not countering drift; I then started to try shutting down plane and managing plane as it veered off runway. Using brakes to navigate upcoming obstacles. When plane went left off runway there was an taxiway entrance. Plane rolled over the taxiway causing front nose gear damage and a prop strike. Plane came to a stop. I finished shutting down fuel and battery master switches and made sure there was no danger. WE then discussed with airport personnel and removed plane from infieldWhile doing a site inspection it was noted no damage was caused to ZZZ facility (runway lights. signage or any other damage). After a little time to calm down and clear thought after the incident.why did plane pull to the left.1. Brake hanging?2. upon applying left ruder might of been also giving left brake pressure causing plane to veer left.corrective action1. more training2. fly more regularlyI'm a private pilot and only fly under part 91. I take this opportunity very seriously. Fortunately there was no other damage done to any property or loss except to my plane. As we started to do more investigation it was realized that I had forgot to stay current. with a biannual review/ check ride. In future ill set up an alert on my calendar and plan on getting a third party to help manage my plane and when systems need to be service to aid in this never happen again.
