B737-800 flight crew reported a near miss with another aircraft.
Synopsis
B737-800 flight crew reported a near miss with another aircraft.
Narrative
Flight ABCD ZZZ-ZZZ1 Day 0 Aircraft X. Take off from Runway XXR at XA:55. After rotation noticed a small single engine aircraft drifting over towards the extended center line for our departure runway. At around 200 feet AGL we stopped the climb and immediately turned to the right in order to avoid colliding with the aircraft. After clearing the traffic we resumed the climb and advised ZZZ Tower of our action. The controller told us that airplane should not be there. We continued the climb and rejoined the SID. Take off thrust used was 26K MAX thrust flaps 25. During the process of slowing the climb / leveling off the speed increased to approximately 220 kts. with flaps 25 (flap placard speed for flaps 25 is 190 kts). Unable to comply with NADP1 noise abatement. Initially deviated from the SID in order to avoid a mid air collision. Made an entry in the airplane maintenance log about the flap over speed for maintenance to inspect. Reporting the incident to the duty chief pilot along with another report.Cause: Two closely spaced runways with GA on one runway and commercial operations on the other runway. ATC has two separate Tower Control frequencies the decreases situation awareness of what is going on on the other closely spaced runway with simultaneous operation going on.
Second reporter narrative
On departure (XA:55) from XXR from ZZZ airport; at rotation speed I (pilot flying (PF)) noticed a small piston aircraft that had departed of XXL was drifting into our flight path. Once we rotated; the piston aircraft was well within our flight path. I immediately leveled out the climb(approximately 200') and made an immediate turn right while the Captain coordinated with ATC. ATC noted the other aircraft 'should not be there'. Estimate less then 500 feet separation with other aircraft. Due to 26k flaps 25 takeoff during the level off; aircraft accelerated to approximately 220 kts. with flaps at 25° and gear still down. Resumed the climb and aircraft clean up procedure and rejoined the ZZZZZX departure around ZZZZZ1.Cause: Different frequencies for runways. High density air traffic. ATC knew we had 8 minutes until we ran out of duty. They may have given us clearance to get off the ground knowing that; when normally they would've waited for better spacing. These max duty days when pilots and crews are rushed will cause an incident or accident one day.
