Synopsis

B787 flight crew reported diverting to an alternate airport after experiencing multiple EICAS error messages.

Narrative

During preflight; we had many status messages; and maintenance was called out to the airplane. They had to power the airplane down (go dark) for 10 minutes in order to resolve the issues and clear the messages before our flight. A couple of hours later during cruise; the airplane began alerting us with the same COMM messages from earlier. The self reported faults resulted in the following status messages: CABIN AIR CPRSR (Compressor) R2; NITROGEN GENERATION SYS; ELEC P200 PANEL; ELEC ENGINE STARTER R2; ELEC APU STARTER R; ELEC CAC (Center Accessory Compartment) R2/START R2; ELEC HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) SYS R2. In addition; we had 2 EICAS messages (and accompanying status messages) for FMC R and FMC C; and we were down to one FMC. The Captain had a conference call with Maintenance Control and Dispatch; and it was agreed upon by all that the safest and best course of action was to divert. Dispatch preferred ZZZ for the divert; and the weather was good there. We agreed to divert to ZZZ and coordinated a new route with ATC. We jettisoned fuel to weigh below max landing weight after coordinating with ATC. On final for the ILS XXL ZZZ; we got a HYD EICAS message. After completing the checklist; we had an additional status message for the HYD PUMP DEM L. The rest was normal and uneventful.

Second reporter narrative

During cruise; at XA:59; we began getting a number of automatic maintenance reports. We checked the status page to find multiple status messages. My concern was the ELECTRIC P200 PANEL and if we were going to continue to have more problems. After a conversation with Dispatcher and Maintenance Control we determined that a diversion to ZZZ would be the best course of action. We began the divert to ZZZ and decided to jettison fuel to get down to maximum landing weight since we had time. The landing was uneventful and we taxied to the gate.
