Synopsis
EMB 170 flight crew reported they were informed that an escape slide was inadvertently deployed after the ferry flight due to the door not being disarmed.
Narrative
Originally scheduled to repo ZZZ1-ZZZ; then take a plane from ZZZ back to ZZZ1. Diverted to ZZZ2 due to low visibility in ZZZ. After eventually landing in ZZZ; we were met by maintenance personnel who brought over a set of stairs. I disarmed the 1L door and discussed with the maintenance personnel whether they would like the aircraft shutdown or not. I was advised that maintenance personnel were going to begin work immediately and that I can leave the plane with the APU running. Myself and the FO deplaned via the 1L door; walked over to our new aircraft; completed preflight checks and eventually were on our way back to ZZZ1. Because I did not fully shut the aircraft down; I neglected to remember to disarm all of the doors and I received word that a slide was inadvertently deployed later that day due to the door not being disarmed. In SOP XX.X; there is a note that mentions disarming doors prior to leaving the aircraft on the securing checklist. I believe that since we didn't leave the aircraft 'cold and dark'; I neglected to ensure that all the doors were disarmed. I'll be sure to learn from this experience.
Second reporter narrative
We did a repo flight from ZZZ1-ZZZ. We departed ZZZ1 at XA00; and when we got to ZZZ the weather was below mins so we held for a while and ended up diverting to ZZZ2. We did a gas and go then headed back to ZZZ. When we arrived in ZZZ we got marshaled in to park at the maintenance hangar; the captain got up and disarmed the front door; and I got my bags and went to do the post flight walk around. I assumed the captain was securing everything and disarming the doors while I was outside. When the captain got off the plane we went over to the aircraft we were bringing back to ZZZ1; and started preparing for that new flight. I got a text from the safety department notifying me that this even happened; as I had no idea we even forgot to disarm a door.
