CL-650 flight crew reported V-speed issue on takeoff roll. Takeoff was aborted and discovered performance discrepancy with fuel on board.
Synopsis
CL-650 flight crew reported V-speed issue on takeoff roll. Takeoff was aborted and discovered performance discrepancy with fuel on board.
Narrative
On Day 0; we were departing from ZZZ with passengers on board. We got the taxi clearance to taxi to runway XXR. We were instructed to taxi via [Taxiway] 1; [Taxiway] 2; and hold short of XXL. We completed our before takeoff checklist and flow. I ran through the before takeoff checklist; verifying that our takeoff speeds were in fact displayed on the airspeed indicator. We were then cleared for takeoff on runway XXR. As we turned onto the runway; we made our associated callouts; and I proceeded to turn the aircraft lights on; followed by the anti-ice probes. The captain advanced the thrust levers; and the autothrottles engaged as we began the takeoff roll. I called out 80 knots on the airspeed indicator and noticed there were no speeds on the airspeed indicator. I then verbally stated; 'We have no takeoff speeds.' I stated again; 'We have no rotation speed; abort the takeoff.' From what I can confidently recall; we had not gotten above 100 knots prior to bringing the thrust levers to the idle position and executing an abort maneuver. I notified the Tower that we were aborting the takeoff and to standby as we slowed; and we exited on [Taxiway] 3. We made the left turn on [Taxiway] 3 and then the left turn on [Taxiway] 1; and elected to stop on [Taxiway] 1 to assess the situation. Unsure of why the takeoff speeds dropped out of the system; we had noticed a performance discrepancy with the fuel on board; which was causing the speeds to show a mismatch. A simple fix; which requires you to manually set the fuel in the performance section of the FMS; I then reset the speeds. While waiting on [Taxiway] 1; I turned to the captain and asked if we should call the Chief Pilot. I was unsure whether or not we needed to go back to the ramp for brake cooling. The captain informed me that all we needed to do was contact dispatch to verify if we needed a new release or not. The captain set the parking brake on [Taxiway] 1; and he talked to air traffic control while I called dispatch on my company cell phone. Dispatch informed me that because we did not return to the ramp; we did not need a new flight release. After about 10 to 12 minutes; we elected to continue taxiing for another departure. We ran the after landing; after start; and before takeoff checklists once again. We were then cleared for takeoff on XXR with no other issues.
Second reporter narrative
Departing out of ZZZ on runway XXR. I was the pilot flying. The first officer was the pilot monitoring. On the take off roll 80 knots was called; then the pilot monitoring called no Vspeeds displayed and called abort. I got on the brakes and deployed the thrust reversers. I got the plane slowed down without any problems. We taxied off the runway and called to see if we needed a new flight release. Dispatch said we did not need a new release. I checked the brake cooling chart and came up with a cool down time of about 6 minutes. We then took off without any problems.
