Synopsis

A Flight Attendant reported the escape slide may not have been in the proper position during their flight.

Narrative

The aircraft door closed at ZZZ airport; as the purser I made the door arming announcement. I could immediately tell the slide was just a longer and little more rigid than I've ever seen before. I armed the door; but it felt different this time. I cross checked and was cross checked. The flight departed and arrived without incident. I made the door disarming announcement for arrival. And when disarming the door; the slide material just felt super long. I can't describe it other than it just felt like it was further out of the housing than I've ever seen before. It was dragging on the ground and there was no way to secure it higher up into the housing. I was cross checked; and I cross checked and made the all call. I was still unsatisfied with the length of the slide; but there was nothing I could do. I was very cautious with watching the gate agent opening the door as the slide is dragging on the ground. Once the door was open; customer started to come to the front for deplaning. Customers with children were trying to get a view of the flight deck. Meanwhile; the cleaners were trying to clean forward lavatory; wheelchairs; a UMNR (Unaccompanied Minor) was onboard. There was a lot going on with deplaning. I notified the captain as soon as was possible. But by the time I had mentioned it to a current captain; the new captain and first officer were already on the jetway; so I mentioned it to them as well. I just said the slide seemed a little lower than normal and I didn't like the way it looked when the gate agent opened the aircraft door and that it should probably be looked at.I had an unaccompanied minor with me at the top of the jetway at the gate reader I did the handoff to the gate agent; I immediately saw the crew for the next flight. I asked the next crew who was in charge of the 1L door/ purser. The gentleman said it was him and I informed him of the slide length/ dragging on the ground situation. I also told him that I mentioned it to his captain and first officer. The texture of the back of this particular slide felt like this rubber griping material that I've never felt.I don't know what it would take for an ISD (Inadvertent Slide Deployment) to happen in regards to any slide dragging on the floor; and I'd hate to see that happen to anyone or myself for that matter so I wanted to send this report. Just to bring awareness of the situation.
