Part 107 UAS pilot reported multiple lost link events occurred during a flight. The pilot landed the UAS after regaining connection to the UAS.
Narrative
Person A attempted to conduct indoor aerial photography using a corporate owned asset; a Skydio S2. Person B served as the sUAS Technician/Visual Observer (trainee). Person C served as the sUAS Flight Release person. Location was X. Both PIC and VO have cell phones. Flight release was approved. A pre-flight inspection was completed using the sUAS Checklist. Battery was installed and measured 98 percent charge at XA:40. Battery measured 81 percent charge on takeoff at XB:14. Person A began the flight by performing half-stick maneuvers and system checks. After performing the strafe left and right maneuver; he attempted the up and down maneuvers. The iPad showed the message 'Weak Connection' and disconnected. Person A attempted to reconnect and land at XB:16. The Skydio and iPad connected and disconnected twice; before Person A was able to connect and activate the automatic landing feature. Landing time was XB:20. Battery had 72 percent charge. Total flight time was 6 minutes (0.1 hours). No equipment damage or personnel injury occurred during this flight.
