Synopsis
Flight Attendant reported receiving notification from Captain that the cockpit window was cracked and to prepare the passenger cabin for landing.
Narrative
While in sterile cockpit for landing into ZZZ; the Captain requested priority handling due to a cracked windshield. Approximately 15 minutes prior to landing; the Captain called the cabin and informed us that he was advising ATC. He stated the nature of the situation was a cracked windshield. He instructed us to prepare the cabin for landing; with no special instructions and no brace command required at that time. He requested that we ensure all passengers were safely secured.Shortly after; approximately 8 minutes before landing; the Captain made a PA to the passengers; advising them that there was a crack in the windshield and that we would be landing in approximately 8 minutes.Following the announcement; I performed a full cabin walkthrough to ensure customers were secured. During this compliance check; I confirmed that there was a lap child in 14A; and all passengers were properly seated and secured for landing.I then returned to my jumpseat and contacted the Captain to provide the compliance report. I informed him that the cabin was secure and that the lap child in 14A was properly situated. The landing proceeded without further incident. No injuries reported.
