Synopsis

General aviation pilot reported an NMAC during takeoff at CVH non-towered airport with a glider plane on final approach not making radio calls.

Narrative

While holding short of Runway 31 with glider tow operations in the area. A CTAF call was heard for tow plane on downwind for Runway 31. I called entering 31 for departure on CTAF. Wile holding for departure a CTAF call was heard for glider on downwind for Runway 24. I made a CTAF call asking glider if they were going to land and hold short of 31; with no response; I call again with no response; I called a third time with louder volume in my voice. An unknown radio operator responded with leave him alone; he is base to final. I felt pressure from the landing tow plane to depart; so the decision was made to depart and lift off before the intersection. The final approach was blocked for view by the hangar row. As I rotated the glider came into view. The glider landed; I cleared the intersection at 100 ft AGL and I heard no radio transmissions for glider or tow plane with objections. Within minutes as I departed the area I heard the tow plane call for glider hookup and tow. The best decision would have been to exit the runway and wait for the pattern to clear.
