Synopsis
Air carrier Captain reported taking evasive action to avoid a ground collision with another aircraft that failed to hold short of taxiway 'T' used to exit Runway 28L at SFO.
Narrative
After landing 28R at SFO and cleared to cross 28L at T intersection I noticed Aircraft Y taxiing on B. That aircraft had landed 28L; exited at taxiway E; and was instructed on ground control on B to hold short of T intersection. We were crossing 28L and entering onto B taxiway at the T intersection as instructed. I saw Aircraft Y and noticed they were taxiing fairly fast so as to be able to hold short of the taxiway T. After crossing the 28L hold short line; but certainly our aircraft was not clear of the runway 28L; I turned off our landing and turn off lights so as to not 'blind' other taxiing aircraft. At this point I noticed Aircraft Y was not going to stop at the T intersection and was on a collision course with us. I used aggressive braking to stop the airplane and illuminated all landing; turn off; and taxi lights. Our airplane (tail section) was certainly not clear of 28L. Aircraft Y then made a sudden turn left to get around our airplane. Aircraft Y used taxiway T between B and A taxiway. I cannot at all understand how the pilots of Aircraft Y did not see us and give way as instructed. In my opinion this was careless and reckless operation of the airplane. It was as if Aircraft Y was in a hurry to get to their gate. But I have no idea. The SFO ATC ground controller was also not happy with Aircraft Y by the fact they did not hold short of T intersection.
