CLRED TO LAND RWY 22 TO EXPECT EXITING RWY 22 AT TXWY B. AFTER TOUCHDOWN; WHILE TAXIING TO B; TWR ISSUED INSTRUCTIONS TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 26L. TWR ISSUED LNDG CLRNC TO A FOLLOWING ACFT TO LAND RWY 22 SO I HURRIED TO B TO CLR THE RWY. WHEN I DID SO; I CROSSED ONTO RWY 26L OVERRUN JUST AS CGA Y ROTATED FOR TKOF ON RWY 26L. I DID NOT SEE ANY ARPT MARKINGS DENOTING RWY 26L AT THAT INTXN. I TALKED TO TWR CTLR BY TELEPHONE AND SUGGESTED THAT THE CONFUSION WOULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF THE HOLD SHORT CLRNC WOULD HAVE INCLUDED THE INFO THAT REMAINING ON THE ACTIVE RWY 22 WOULD BE NECESSARY. ALSO; RWY 26L MARKINGS SHOULD BE IMPROVED AND ATIS INFO CONCERNING ANTICIPATED HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS WOULD GIVE PLTS TIME TO STUDY ARPT DIAGRAMS PRIOR TO LNDG. NORMALLY; A PLT WILL EXIT AN ACTIVE RWY ASAP WHEN HE KNOWS ANOTHER ACFT IS LNDG CLOSE BEHIND. THEN STOP WHEN CLR AND REVIEW THE ARPT DIAGRAM BEFORE PROCEEDING. WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE THAT RWY 22/26L INTXN AND TXWY B WERE AT THE SAME POINT; I MADE THE INCURSION ON RWY 26L. CONTRIBUTING FACTOR: MANY TXWYS NEAR THE INTXN WERE UNDER CONSTRUCTION WITH BARRIERS AND PILES OF DEBRIS BLOCKING VIEW OF RWY 26L PAVEMENT.
