Synopsis

Phenom Captain reported receiving an apparently false terrain warning on approach. Reporter stated this appears to be a known issue in the Phenom fleet.

Narrative

This morning we flew the RNAV XX into ZZZ. Approximately at ZZZZZ intersection we received a terrain warning. We were in visual conditions and as far as we could see were completely clear of obstacles. I turned off the Autopilot and got myself above the glide path for a moment and the message went away. The glide path and course were centered; the Autopilot was engaged; and I was maintaining approximately Vref +5 knots. There is a NOTAM for the PAPI being out of service and the minimums for the approach being raised. There is an additional NOTAM for a temporary crane southeast of Runway XX.Suggestions: Respect the terrain warning but maintain visual awareness of your surroundings on the approach. It would be good to clarify if this is an avionics anomaly or a problem with the GPWS system. No-one should get into the habit of ignoring GPWS signals; but it sounds like this is a known issue in the Phenom. A note or something to let crews in our fleet know about it would be helpful. Perhaps raising the minimum altitude at ZZZZZ until the anomaly is sorted out would be a good idea.
