Narrative

I HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY FOR 3 YRS AND 1 MONTH AS A FO. IN THE BEGINNING OF OCT I DECIDED TO KEEP A LOG OF EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED AT WORK. THE ITEMS IN THIS LOG PRIOR TO THIS ARE FROM MEMORY SO MANY THINGS ARE OMITTED. AFTER FILLING OUT THIS ASR RPT I DECIDED TO INCLUDE INFO FROM THIS LOG TO MAYBE GIVE YOU A BETTER PICTURE OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS PARTICULAR COMPANY. I FEEL THAT BECAUSE THE REGIONALS FLY SO MUCH THAT NOT ONLY ARE THE CREWS FATIGUED; BUT THAT THE ACFT ARE NOT SPENDING ENOUGH TIME IN MAINT (WE HAD A CRASH LAST YR BECAUSE ALL THE SCREWS WERE MISSING FROM THE TOP OF 1 HORIZ STABILIZER). EVERYBODY INVOLVED FEELS THE PRESSURE TO KEEP ON THE SCHEDULE AND KEEP THE PLANES FLYING. KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS LOG ONLY COVERS OCT/X TO NOV/Y. ALSO THAT I AM ONLY 1 PLT OUT OF XXX PLTS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THIS RPTR IS NEW TO THE ASRS; THIS IS HIS FIRST RPT. HE NOW KNOWS THAT WE CANNOT SOLVE HIS EMPLOYER'S PROBS WITH MAINT; DUTY REGS; ETC. HE WILL SEND IN MORE RPTS AS CONDITIONS WARRANT. HIS LOG OF OPERATIONAL DISCREPANCIES IS GROWING DAILY.
