ONE SMA BLOWS ANOTHER ACROSS THE RWY HOLD LINE TO CREATE A RWY INCURSION.
Narrative
I WAS IN AN SMA X; A LOW WING TYPE. I HAD RECEIVED TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO TAXI TO RWY 24 ON DELTA. THE WIND WAS FROM 280-300 GUSTS TO 25. AS I WAS AWAITING TKOF CLRNC I WAS SITTING WITH THE NOSEWHEEL AT THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 24. AN SMA A HAD TAXIED OUT BEHIND ME. AS I WAITED FOR TKOF CLRNC; THE CTL WHEEL WAS YANKED OUT OF MY HAND AND THE R AILERON WAS FLUTTERING IN A SUDDEN SEVERE GUST OF WIND FROM THE R REAR. I TURNED TO LOOK BACK AND THE SMA A HAD TURNED HIS TAIL TO ME AT LESS THAN 10 FT AWAY TO DO HIS RUNUP. MY MAIN GEAR WAS LIFTED ON THE R SIDE AND MY PLANE STARTED ROLLING OVER THE HOLD LINE BEFORE I WAS CLRED FOR TKOF AND THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO TO STOP IT. THE WAY THE BOTTOM OF AN SMA X IS SHAPED (RISING TO THE REAR) IT PRESENTED A PERFECT TARGET FOR THE PROP BLAST FROM THE SMA A TO TRY TO LIFT IT OFF THE MAINS. MY PERCEPTION OF THE CAUSE OF THIS PROB IS THAT THE PLT OF THE SMA A IS AN INCONSIDERATE IDIOT WITH NO COMMON SENSE. WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF AS THIS INCIDENT WAS OCCURRING AND FORTUNATELY THERE WAS NO TFC TO INTERFERE WITHOUT INCURSION ONTO THE RWY. I DID NOT RPT THE PROB TO THE TWR BECAUSE THEY WERE BUSY AND I WAS BUSY WITH A STUDENT PLT TAKING OFF IN A GUSTY XWIND. IF THE TWR NOTICED THE PROB; THEY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING. THE A SMA A PLT WAS PROBABLY TAUGHT TO FACE INTO THE WIND FOR RUNUP BUT NOT TAUGHT TO BE AWARE OF WHERE HIS PROP BLAST WAS GOING.
