COMMUTER ACFT ABORTS TKOF ON ENG OVERTEMP.

Narrative

AS THE FO; AM RESPONSIBLE FOR RUNNING THE CHKLISTS; SOMETIMES RESPONDING TO THEM MYSELF; SOMETIMES THE CAPT RESPONDS. WE WERE RUNNING LATE AFTER ALREADY HAVING A TRIP CANCELLED. I RAN THE CHKLISTS UP UNTIL WE WERE CLRED TO HOLD SHORT OF THE ACTIVE; TO TKOF NEXT. I DID THE FO FLOWS AND STOPPED SHORT OF TURNING OFF THE BLEEDS (TO CONTINUE AIR TO THE PAX); I.E.; BREAK THE CHKLIST. RAN THE CHKLIST AND MENTIONED; HOLDING THE CHKLIST AT 'BLEEDS OFF' LAST ITEM OF CHKLIST. WE WERE CLRED ON FOR IMMEDIATE TKOF; GOT TALKING ON THE RADIO CONCERNING SOMETHING; DID NOT TURN OFF THE BLEEDS AND; AS A RESULT; ENG TEMPS WERE OUT OF LIMITS AFTER SETTING PWR; RESULTED IN A REJECTED TKOF. NO INJURIES; NO MECHANICAL PROBS AFTERWARDS. OH YEAH; I DISCOVERED THE BLEEDS ON AS WE WERE CLRING THE ACTIVE. THAT'S WHAT I GET FOR BREAKING THE CHKLIST. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 235984: FOLLOWING SOP BETTER THAN MODIFYING AND ADDING ANOTHER CHK (PRESS; FLAP; BLEED) THAT IS NOT STANDARD. IF YOU THINK YOU OUGHT TO SAY SOMETHING; SAY IT; UNLESS OTHER HIGHER PRIORITIES (EMERS) DELAY IT.
