L MAIN GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT (GREEN) NOT ILLUMINATED WITH GEAR HANDLE DOWN. ALSO; L GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT (RED) REMAINED EXTINGUISHED DURING TRANSITION OF GEAR. ADVISED ATC. REQUESTED DELAY VECTORS AND PERFORMED ABNORMAL PROC; AND EMER GEAR EXTENSION PROC. NO GREEN LIGHT VISUAL INSPECTION DID NOT CONFIRM DOWN AND LOCKED. OVERFLEW RWY 36L FOR VISUAL INSPECTION FROM THE GND. REPLY: 'SAW 3 GEAR BUT L MAIN DID NOT APPEAR NORMAL.' STOWED EMER GEAR LEVER AND RECYCLED GEAR. RAISED EMER GEAR LEVER AND AGAIN MADE VISUAL INSPECTION. STRIPES APPEARED TO BE ALIGNED. PREPARED FOR 'EMER/ABNORMAL LNDG.' LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. PINNED GEAR AND TAXI IN. OTHER INFO: LNDG GEAR WARNING CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPPED DURING A GEAR CYCLE. FLEW MSP-CVG WITH NOSE GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT (RED) ILLUMINATED. AFTER PROC COMPLIANCE AND DISPATCH/MAINT CTL CONCURRENCE (ABNORMAL OCCURRED AFTER MSP TKOF) ESTABLISHED COM WITH DISPATCH/MAINT CTL IN CVG AREA THEN LOST RECEPTION DUE TO LOCATION AND ALT. RELAYED INTENTIONS AND PROGRESS THROUGH CVG OPS. THIS COM WAS LESS THAN EFFECTIVE AS FAR AS FEEDBACK FROM MAINT CTL. EMER WAS DECLARED. ALL CREW AND SUPPORT PEOPLE PERFORMED DUTIES VERY PROFESSIONALLY.
