ACR SLIDES OFF TXWY ATTEMPTING TO CLR RWY FOR INCOMING TFC.

Narrative

CLRED TO LAND RWY 15 BY TWR; WE WERE NOT ISSUED ANY BRAKING ACTION RPTS BY TWR. ATIS ADVISED FAIR TO GOOD. ON ROLLOUT; ACFT FISHTAILED A LITTLE AS WE APPLIED BRAKES AND REVERSE. THERE WERE PATCHES OF SNOW AND ICE IN THE ROLLOUT ZONE. I TOOK THE ACFT FROM THE FO AT ABOUT 70 KTS; STOWED THE REVERSE. WE IMMEDIATELY GAVE THE TWR A BRAKING ACTION RPT OF POOR. HE THEN TOLD US TO EXPEDITE TO THE END DUE TO LNDG TFC. ABOUT 2000 FT FROM THE END OF THE RWY IT APPEARED CLR OF ANY SNOW OR ACCUMULATIONS. ABOUT 1000 FT FROM THE END I STARTED TO APPLY THE BRAKES. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO BRAKING ACTION AT ALL. WE THEN APPLIED MAX REVERSE THRUST; MAX BRAKING. I HAD THE NOSEWHEEL TURNED TRYING TO GET THE ACFT OFF THE RWY AND ONTO THE TXWY AT THE END. THE ACFT WAS SLIDING NOW ALMOST SIDEWAYS ON A SHEET OF ICE. SOMEHOW WE GOT THE ACFT ONTO THE TXWY AT THE END OF THE RWY; BUT STILL SLIDING. THE ACFT CAME TO REST JUST PAST THE BLUE TAXI LIGHTS IN THE SNOW. NOT KNOWING WHERE WE WERE (ON PAVEMENT; OR GND) OR IF WE HIT ANY LIGHTS OR HAD ANY ACFT DAMAGE; AN ARPT TUG WAS CALLED. THAT WAS USED TO PUSH ACFT BACK ONTO TXWYS; ETC. A MECH INSPECTED THE ACFT. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE AND SOMEHOW WE HADN'T EVEN HIT A TAXI LIGHT. THEY PUSHED US BACK ONTO THE TXWY AND WE PROCEEDED INTO THE GATE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. WE RPTED A NIL BRAKING ACTION RPT. FACTORS: NO BRAKING ACTION RPTS FROM TWR; TOLD TO EXPEDITE TO END DUE TO LNDG TFC WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS OUR COMPANY. NO VISUAL CLUES IN LAST 3000 FT OF RWY. ALSO; SINCE RWY 15/33 IS OVER 11000 FT LONG AND MOSTLY SMALL ACFT HAD BEEN LNDG; THE LAST 3000 FT HAD PROBABLY NOT BEEN USED IN THE LAST HR. AFTER OUR RPTS THEY CLOSED THE RWY AND SANDED AND ADDED CHEMICALS. IT SEEMS THAT WHEN CONDITIONS WARRANT THE WHOLE RWY SHOULD BE CHKED BY A VEHICLE; AND NOT JUST USE ACFT RPTS THAT ARE ONLY EVALUATING THE FIRST 3000 FT OF AN 11000 FT RWY.
