Narrative

AFTER ABOUT 6 CALLS CTLR TOLD ACR X; GO TO A DIFFERENT FREQ. SHE SAID WE WERE ON WRONG FREQ. WE SWITCHED AND WERE ACKNOWLEDGED AND TOLD TO TURN TO 030 DEGS AND WHEN ESTABLISHED DSND TO 3000 FT. NO PARTICULAR URGENCY IN REQUEST. GOING THROUGH ABOUT 6000 FT WE WERE TOLD TO TURN R DIRECT TO MCO VOR. IN THE TURN WE HAD A TCASII TA WHICH IMMEDIATELY TURNED TO AN RA WITH A CLB COMMAND. OUR TFC WAS AN ACR Y AT 12 O'CLOCK AND ABOUT 1/2 MI AND 500 FT BELOW US. WE WERE DSNDING INTO HIM. WE CLBED; CONTINUED THE TURN; TOLD APCH WE WERE RESPONDING TO AN RA; AND THEN RESUMED OUR DSCNT WHEN CLR OF TFC. WE THEN IMMEDIATELY SAW AN LGT AHEAD BELOW 1/2 TO 1 MI 500-1000 FT BELOW US AND AT 12 O'CLOCK. HE WAS BANKING AND FINISHING HIS TURN TO FINAL FOR RWY 17 AND PROBABLY NOT AWARE OF US. AFTER WE TOLD APCH WE WERE RESPONDING TO AN RA HE TOLD US LGT HAD US IN SIGHT. PRIOR TO THIS HE HAD NOT MENTIONED THE TFC TO US. AFTER THIS WAS ALL SORTED OUT I SAID TO APCH; YOU HAVE A REAL FLYING CIRCUS OUT HERE. HE THEN RESPONDED TO ME; YEAH AND YOU'RE NOT HELPING THINGS EITHER. HE THEN CLRED US FOR A VISUAL ILS TO RWY 18R AND TOLD US TO SWITCH TO TWR. TWR SWITCHED RWYS AGAIN TO LAND ON RWY 18L. JUST OUT OF 1000 FT ABOVE TOUCHDOWN WE RECEIVED ANOTHER RA 700 FT UNDER US AND COMMANDED A CLB. WE DIDN'T CLB. WE DID NOT SEE ANY TFC. WE FIGURED WHATEVER IT WAS IT WAS ON OR VERY NEAR THE GND. ON THE GND I CALLED THE TWR CHIEF AND WE HAD ABOUT 20 MINS CONVERSATION. HE INDICATED TO ME THAT 1) HE WAS STANDING BEHIND CTLRS AND SAW THE WHOLE THING. 2) HE DID NOT INDICATE THAT WE HAD DONE ANYTHING WRONG. 3) HE WAS GOING TO PULL TAPES AND MAKE SURE OF WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND USE HIS INFO FOR TRAINING PURPOSES.
