Narrative
ON A NIGHT IFR FLT IN VMC; I WAS CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH TO RWY 4L AT BOS BY BOS APCH AT 120.6 MHZ. THE SECOND NAV/COM RADIO WAS TUNED TO BOS TWR AT 119.1 MHZ (AS PUBLISHED IN IAP). BOS APCH HANDED ME OFF TO BOS TWR ON 128.8 MHZ (NOT PUBLISHED IN IAP) ON FINAL APCH. I TUNED 128.8 MHZ BUT I GOT NO RESPONSE FROM THE TWR. I SWITCHED BACK TO BOS APCH AND ADVISED 'UNABLE TO CONTACT THE TWR;' TRIED AGAIN ON 128.8 MHZ BUT NO RESPONSE. BOS APCH ADVISED ME THAT 'THE TWR HAS CLRED' ME 'TO LAND ON RWY 4L.' THE LNDG WAS WITH AN AIRSPD TOO HIGH FOR A SHORT ROLL; BUT FURTHER UNEVENTFUL. DURING THE LNDG; BOS APCH TOLD ME 'TO TURN L; ANY L; BECAUSE OF TFC ON SHORT FINAL.' BECAUSE OF THE LONG LNDG ROLL; I TURNED L ON RWY 15R INSTEAD OF TXWY C; F; OR Q. I TURNED TO THE EDGE OF RWY 15R BECAUSE I WAS NOT EXACTLY CERTAIN OF MY POS ON THE RWY/TXWY PAVEMENT; AND BECAUSE I COULD SEE AN AIRLINER INTO POS AT RWY 15R. BOS APCH TOLD ME TO HOLD POS AND I CONTACTED GND ON 121.9. BOS GND ASKED WHETHER WE WERE OFF THE RWY. AFTER I TOLD GND THAT THE AIRPLANE WAS AT THE RWY EDGE AND ON THE PAVEMENT; I GOT A PROGRESSIVE TAXI CLRNC VIA RWY 15R; FIRST TXWY LEFT (TXWY N) AND THEN VIA THE INNER TXWY TO THE FBO. BOS GND TOLD ME TO GIVE ATC A CALL AFTER PARKING. OVER THE PHONE I WAS MERELY ADVISED TO CHK THE COM RADIOS BEFORE DEP.
