ACR MLG LANDS WITHOUT BENEFIT OF LNDG CLRNC.
Narrative
FLT AUS-DFW; LOW BROKEN DECK THAT SHOWED GND OCCASIONALLY. VECTORED FOR ILS 18R. PLANNED A 15 DEG FLAP LNDG INTERCEPTED THE LOC AND DIDN'T NOTICE; AT FIRST; THAT WE HAD NO GS NEEDLE. BOTH CREW MEMBERS WERE BRAND NEW (FIRST TRIP) ON THE GLASS COCKPIT AND FULLY CONFIDENT OF WHAT WE SHOULD SEE IN THE VARIOUS MODES (I AM NOW). CAPT GOT THE ATIS AND IT DID NOT MENTION THAT THE GS WAS OUT. I CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF RWY 18R AND REALIZED THAT WE WERE HIGH. APCH ASKED IF WE COULD MAKE IT; WE SAID WE WOULD TRY AND ASKED FOR; AND WERE APPROVED FOR; S-TURNS. WE DROPPED THE GEAR AND WENT TO 40 DEG FLAPS TO GET DOWN ASAP. WE BROKE OUT OF THE WX AND SAW THAT WE COULD MAKE THE RWY. WE DECIDED TO RAISE THE FLAPS AND GET BACK TO THE PLAN TO DO A 15 DEG FLAP LNDG; BUT IT WAS A LITTLE BIT OF A SCRAMBLE. AFTER LNDG WE TAXIED CLR AND AS I WENT TO SWITCH TO GND; I SAW THAT WE WERE ON AN UNFAMILIAR FREQ. I ASKED THE CAPT AND THAT'S WHEN WE REALIZED WE WERE STILL ON APCH FREQ AND HAD LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC. IN THE CONFUSION WE DIDN'T GET ON THE PROPER FREQ UNTIL TWR HAD TRIED TO CALL US A COUPLE OF TIMES TO CROSS RWY 18L. WE CHKED THE NOTAMS AND THEN NOTICED RWY 18R GS WAS NOTAMED OUT.
