FLC OVERLOOKED SID ADDED TO THEIR FLT PLAN RTE ON THEIR PDC. THEY FLEW WRONG HDG AFTER TKOF CAUSING A CONFLICT.

Narrative

FLT PLAN WAS KSEA.SEA J90 HLN. PDC SAID 'CLRED AS FILED' SEA J90 HLN DPR...CVG. ONLY IN THE REMARKS SECTION OF THE PDC WAS A REF TO THE MOUNTAIN 2 DEP. WE DIDN'T SEE THE REMARK. WE TOOK OFF AFTER A LIGHT TWIN AND TURNED ON COURSE AS WE THOUGHT WE WERE CLRED. WE HAD THE OTHER AIRPLANE IN SIGHT AS WE CLBED THROUGH HIS ALT. AFTER TURNING; DEP CTL ASKED WHETHER WE HAD BEEN ASSIGNED A SID; WE DIDN'T THINK SO AT THE TIME AND SAID 'NO.' PDC FORMAT IS NOT STANDARDIZED. IT ALSO DOES NOT CONFORM TO THE WAY CLRNCS ARE READ TO YOU FROM CLRNC DELIVERY. IN OUR CASE; WE WERE NOT 'CLRED AS FILED' BECAUSE THE ROUTING WAS MODIFIED BY A SID. THIS SHOULD BE CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT THIS TYPE OF CONFLICT. PUTTING 'CLRED AS FILED' UP ON TOP FOLLOWED BY A SID IN THE REMARKS SECTION IS TOO EASY TO MISS IN THE LAST MIN FLURRY OF ACTIVITY AT PUSHBACK TIME. I'VE ENCLOSED EXAMPLES OF 2 FLT PLANS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE PDC'S. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 246488: I BELIEVE THE PDC SHOULD BE STANDARDIZED AND VITAL INFO SHOULD BE IN THE OUTLINED SECTION OF PDC. THIS SHOULD INCLUDE DEPS AND ANYTHING THAT IS NOT 'CLRED AS FILED.'
