WDB HAS HIGH EGT READINGS ON TKOF ROLL; UNABLE TO ADJUST CORRECTLY.
Narrative
OUR TKOF AT DEN WAS PLANNED AT 376000 LBS; TEMP 81 DEGS F AND N1 MAX OF 105.3. AFTER RECEIVING OUR FINAL WT; WE WERE ADVISED OUR ACTUAL WT WAS 361000 LBS. ALSO; THE LAST TEMP WE RECEIVED WAS 76 DEGS F. WE ADJUSTED OUR V-SPDS BUT DECIDED TO USE THE SAME TKOF PWR. IT WAS THE FO'S LEG AND HE SET TKOF PWR AS WE BEGAN OUR TKOF ROLL. AS I TOOK THE THROTTLES I NOTICED THE EGT ON ALL ENGS WAS IN THE YELLOW BAND (CAUTION) AND STILL INCREASING. I MADE A SLIGHT ADJUSTMENT; THE EGT'S SETTLED INTO THE 910-915 RANGE. EVERY TIME I ATTEMPTED TO SET TKOF PWR; THE EGT WOULD INCREASE. OUR NORMAL OR REDUCED N1 SETTING WAS 104.5 AND IN ONE CASE THE N1 SETTING FOR 1 ENG SETTLED IN AT LESS THAN 104.5. THE SO ADVISED ME OF THIS LATER WHEN WE DISCUSSED THE FLT. THE ACCELERATION FELT NORMAL AND TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE MUCH LOWER WT OF THE ACFT I DID NOT THINK AN ABORT WAS NECESSARY. I HAVE A SUSPICION THE RWY TEMP WAS HIGHER THAN THE 76 DEGS THAT WAS ADVERTISED. IT WOULD BE NICE IF PLTS COULD RECEIVE RWY TEMPS.
