Narrative

MANSFIELD (MFD) SECTOR OVERLIES AKRON-CANTON (CAK) APCH (080 AND BELOW) AND BORDERS NEXT TO AND OVER CLEVELAND APCH (CLE). ACR X CHKED ON THE FREQ DSNDING TO 15000 FT. CAK CALLED THE MFD SECTOR REQUESTING HIGHER ON CPR Y WITH REF TO TFC PREVIOUSLY POINTED OUT; ABOUT 1 1/2 MINS EARLIER. MFD-R APPROVED CLBING TO 10000 FT ON CPR X. MFD- R IMMEDIATELY CALLED BACK CAK AND TOLD THEM CLB TO FL200 IF CPR Y CAN GET DIRECT DJB FROM CLE APCH. (CPR Y HAD TO BE POINTED OUT TO CLE.) CAK RESPONDED 'OKAY; I'LL SEE WHAT THEY SAY.' MFD-R TOLD ACR X TO CROSS RITZS AT 11000 FT. MFD-R THEN GOT DISTRACTED BY AN ACFT THAT CALLED ON FREQ IN ERROR. MFD-R THEN COORDINATED WITH CLE THAT ACR X HAD RITZS AT 11000 FT. RECEIVING NO CALL BACK FROM CAK; MFD-R CALLED CAK TO CONFIRM CPR Y WAS STOPPING AT 10000 FT. CAK REPLIED 'NO' AND SAID CPR Y WAS CLBING TO FL200 AND DIRECT DJB. MFD-R TOLD CAK TO STOP CPR Y AT 11000 FT; BUT THEY SAID CPR Y WAS ALREADY SWITCHED. ACR X WAS TURNED '50 DEGS L; TIGHT TURN' BY MFD-R. ACR X REPLIED 'TFC IN SIGHT; WE'RE TURNING.'
