Narrative
WE WERE ROLLING ACROSS THE RAMP AND CAPT ASKED ME IF I HAD A CLRNC YET. I TOLD HIM 'NO' AND ASKED HIM TO LOOK OUT HIS WINDOW AND TELL ME IF I WAS GOING TO CLR A FUEL TRUCK. HE CONTINUED TALKING AND I AGAIN HAD TO ASK HIM TO CHK THE CLRNC ON THE L WING. AS WE GOT TO AN INTXN I ASKED HIM WHICH WAY TO TURN AND HANDED HIM THE APCH PLATE SO THAT HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO LOOK AT THE ARPT DIAGRAM. IT WAS DARK AND THE TXWY THAT PARALLELS THE RWY 23; IS (OR WAS AT THAT TIME) UNMARKED BY BLUE LIGHTS. CAPT THEN STARTED A VERBAL TIRADE ABOUT HOW I SHOULD HAVE BEEN STUDYING THE DIAGRAM AND SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO AND WHERE TO GO; THAT I WAS ACTING LIKE A CHILD AND HE WAS UNHAPPY WITH MY PERFORMANCE. I REPLIED THAT I WAS EQUALLY UNHAPPY WITH HIS PERFORMANCE; THAT IT HAD BEEN A LONG DAY AND ALL I WAS LOOKING FOR WAS A LITTLE COOPERATION SO THAT WE MIGHT RETURN HOME. HE WENT ON TO SAY THAT I WAS BEING A 'STUPID MOTHER XXXX.' I ASKED HIM 'WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?' AND HE REPEATED 'YOU ARE A STUPID MOTHER XXXX.' I SAID 'XXXX YOU MOTHER XXXX' AND HE SAID 'WHAT?' I SAID 'YOU HEARD ME; I SAID XXXX YOU; MOTHER XXXX.' HE SAID 'THAT'S IT; YOU'RE DONE.' I SAID 'ARE YOU FIRING ME?' HE SAID 'IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?' I SAID; 'NO; I'M ASKING YOU AM I FIRED?' HE SAID 'YES!' I IMMEDIATELY HIT THE BRAKES AND KILLED THE R ENG. AS I ATTEMPTED TO CUT THE L ENG; HE KNOCKED MY HAND OFF THE PWR QUADRANT AND ASKED ME WHAT I WAS DOING. I TOLD HIM I WAS SHUTTING DOWN THE PLANE AND GETTING OUT. I UNFASTENED MY SEATBELT AND SHOULDER HARNESS AND BEGAN TO GET UP. HE SHOVED ME BACK INTO MY SEAT AND TOLD ME I WASN'T GOING ANYWHERE. I ATTEMPTED TO GET OUT OF MY SEAT AGAIN; AT WHICH TIME HE STRUCK ME IN THE JAW WITH HIS R FIST AND FOREARM; AND PINNED ME AGAINST THE COPLT'S SIDE WINDOW. I TRIED TO CALM HIM DOWN A BIT AND TOLD HIM TO SETLE DOWN AND LET ME OUT BECAUSE HE WASN'T GOING TO TAKE THAT AIRPLANE ANY FURTHER WITH ME IN IT. HE SAID; 'NO; YOU'RE GOING TO FINISH THIS JOB.' I TOLD HIM MY JOB WAS FINISHED AS HE HAD JUST FIRED ME. HE STRUCK ME AGAIN; SO I THEN PUNCHED HIM WITH MY R. I KINDA FELL BTWN THE SEATS IN MY FOLLOW THROUGH. HE THEN GOT ME IN A HEADLOCK AND BEGAN TO EXERT PRESSURE ON MY WINDPIPE. I STRUGGLED TO GET OUT BUT WAS HAVING NO LUCK. I THEN REACHED OVER AND TOOK THE MICROPHONE OFF HIS CTL YOKE AND BROADCAST 'MAYDAY; MAYDAY; MAYDAY; ABC HAS AN EMER ON THE TXWY; PLEASE COME HELP ME!' I FELT HIS GRIP RELAX MOMENTARILY AND TOOK THAT OPPORTUNITY TO BREAK FREE AND GET IN A COUPLE MORE SHOTS. APPARENTLY HE THOUGHT THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE COMING OUT TO THE ACFT BECAUSE HE THEN TOLD ME TO GET MY GEAR AND GET OUT. I GRABBED MY STUFF AND GOT OUT. I FEEL THAT MY LEAVING THE AIRPLANE ON NOV/XX/93 WAS PRUDENT AND JUSTIFIED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: I WAS FIRED. THE SAFETY OF THE FLT WOULD BE SEVERELY COMPROMISED BY THE STRESS AND POSSIBILITY OF CONTINUED VIOLENCE AT ALT. IF I HAD CONTINUED TO EKM WITH THE ACFT; I WOULD HAVE BEEN FACED WITH THE VERY REAL POSSIBILITY OF HAVING MY LIFE ENDANGERED BY A BLACK BELT WHO HAD ALREADY SHOWN HIS WILLINGNESS TO ASSAULT ME. I DO NOT KNOW THE NAMES OF THE PAX WHO FLEW THAT DAY. THEY WERE DEALERS THAT HANDLE PRODUCTS PRODUCED BY MANUFACTURER. THIS INFO CAN BE BEST ACCESSED BY CONTACTING CO-OWNER OF ABC.
