FLT PROCEEDED TO DEST ARPT FOR APCH AND LNDG. FLT EXECUTED ILS 30L APCH TO RWY WITH WX RPTED 14 OVCST 2 1/2 MI VISIBILITY LIGHT SNOW; BLOWING SNOW; WIND VARIABLE 350 VERSUS 340; 15 GUSTING TO 22 MPH. TEMP 25 DEGS. DURING APCH; ENCOUNTERED HVY TO MODERATE RIME ICE. RWYS RPTED SANDED; BRAKING ACTION FAIR TO GOOD. APCH WAS STABILIZED TO A NORMAL TOUCHDOWN AND LNDG; BRAKING ACTION GOOD. STL TWR ADVISED FLT TO TURN L ON TXWY B; FOLLOWED BY A CORRECTION TO 'TURN R ON TXWY B;' GATE ASSIGNED WAS OCCUPIED. ACFT WAS SLOWED TO WALKING SPD. CAPT (PF) MADE A R TURN ONTO TXWY CTRLINE. BOTH PLTS LOOKING STRAIGHT OUT OF TXWY WHICH APPEARED NORMAL. AS ACFT MAIN LNDG GEAR CROSSED RWY EDGE/CROWN; ACFT STATED A SKID TOWARDS TXWY EDGE. FULL PEDAL BRAKING AND NOSE STEERING INEFFECTIVE. CAPT PUT BOTH ENGS INTO REVERSE THRUST; BUT FOUND THAT IT DID NOT SLOW ACFT AND FELT THAT IT WAS CAUSING REAR OF ACFT TO SKID TOWARDS EDGE OF TXWY. REVERSE THRUST DISCONTINUED AND ACFT NOSE SKIDDED TO TXWY EDGE ONTO GRASS. MAIN LNDG GEAR REMAINED ON HARD SURFACE; NO DAMAGE! PAX DEPLANED VIA 'PEOPLE MOVER' TO TERMINAL. CLR ICE!
