ERROR ADMITTED IN WRONG RWY APCH RESULTING IN A TCASII RA AND A WAKE UP CALL FROM THE TWR CTLR.

Narrative

THIS WAS THE LAST LEG OF A 7 DAY INTL TRIP WITH MULTIPLE TIME ZONE XINGS. THE TRIP IS AS FOLLOWS: LAX-SFO-CDG-ORD- CDG-LAX. IT IS EXTREMELY GRUELING. WE WERE APCHING LAX FROM THE N; OVER SMO VOR. APCHING SMO WE WERE ASSIGNED RWY 24R. WE REQUESTED RWY 25L TO REDUCE TAXI TIME AFTER LNDG; BUT OUR REQUEST WAS DENIED. THE CAPT WAS HAND FLYING THE AIRPLANE. HE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT OUR REQUEST FOR RWY 25L HAD BEEN DENIED. ON BASE; APCH CTL ASKED IF WE HAD THE ARPT IN SIGHT; WHICH WE DID. HE CLRED US FOR THE VISUAL TO RWY 24R. HE THEN ASKED US IF WE HAD THE TFC IN SIGHT FOR WRY 25L; WHICH WE DID NOT; AS WE TOLD APCH. ON BASE; IT BECAME APPARENT THAT WE WERE GOING TO OVERSHOOT; BUT I THOUGHT THE CAPT WAS JUST FAILING TO COMPENSATE FOR THE NORTHERLY XWIND. APPARENTLY; THOUGH; HE HAD IT IN HIS MIND THAT WE WERE CLRED TO RWY 25L. AS WE LINED UP ON RWY 25L WE GOT TCASII WARNINGS AND A CALL FROM THE TWR; WHO SAID SHE HAD US BOTH IN SIGHT. WE CORRECTED BACK TO RWY 24R AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. I BELIEVE WE WERE ALL 3 SLOW TO REACT BECAUSE OF EXTREME FATIGUE.
