C-310 R LNDG GEAR COLLAPSES DURING LNDG PROC ROLLOUT ON BRAKE APPLICATION.
Narrative
ON APCH TO SAN CARLOS ARPT (SQL); THE LNDG GEAR EXTENSION SHOWED THE R MAIN GEAR LIGHT WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE; AND THE RED GEAR UN-SAFE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO RETRACT AND EXTEND THE LNDG GEAR. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EMER CHKLIST; THE GEAR WAS LOWERED MANUALLY. THE R MAIN GEAR WAS NOT INDICATING DOWN. I DECIDED TO REQUEST A LOW APCH AT OAKLAND INTL ARPT. WE CONTACTED BAY APCH AND WERE HANDED OFF TO OAK TWR AND CLRED FOR A LOW APCH TO RWY 29. AFTER 2 LOW APCHS THE TWR ADVISED WE HAD 3 WHEELS EXTENDED. WE WERE CLRED TO LAND RWY 27R. UPON TOUCHDOWN; ALL 3 GEAR WHEELS WERE EXTENDED. WE ROLLED OUT FOR APPROX 2500 FT. WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES THE R MAIN GEAR FOLDED IN-BOARD. I PULLED THE MIXTURES TO IDLE CUT-OFF AND FEATHERED THE R PROP. AFTER ACFT CAME TO A STOP; I SWITCHED ALL ELECTRICAL AND FUEL SYS OFF AND EXITED THE ACFT; IN ACCORDANCE WITH EMER PROCS. DAMAGE WAS TO THE R PROP; WING TIP AND HORIZ STABILIZER. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: CALLBACK TO OBSERVER RPTR 261328 REVEALED THAT HE KNEW NOTHING FURTHER ON THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE OF THE R GEAR OF THE C-310Q.
