NO FLAP TKOF ATTEMPT BEGETS A TKOF WARNING HORN. TKOF ABORTED.
Narrative
DURING THE TKOF ROLL ON RWY 36R AT CLT; I ABORTED THE TKOF BTWN 30-50 KTS; BECAUSE THE TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDED. IT SOUNDED BECAUSE THE FLAPS WERE UP. THE AIRPLANE AT THE RAMP WAS COVERED WITH ICE; THE APU WAS INOP AND THERE WERE NUMEROUS GLITCHES BEFORE WE BOARDED THE AIRPLANE WITH PAX. THE DEICING PAD WAS ON RWY 5/23. IT TOOK MAYBE 20-25 MINS TO GET DEICED BECAUSE WE HAD TO HAVE AN ENG RUNNING AT ALL TIMES. AFTER LEAVING THE DEICE PAD; THERE WAS A DELAY IN GETTING THROUGH TO GND CTL BECAUSE OF FREQ CONGESTION. THEN ANOTHER SHORT DELAY AS WE TAXIED BEHIND A KING AIR(?) WE DID OUR 4TH XBLEED START AND GOT THE AFTER START CHKLIST DONE. THEN I SENT THE FO BACK TO CHK THE WINGS FROM THE CABIN. WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF BEFORE THE FO CLBED BACK IN HIS SEAT. TO HELP WITH THE WORKLOAD; I MADE THE TKOF ANNOUNCEMENT. THE FO AT THAT POINT PROCEEDED WITH THE REST OF THE 'BEFORE TKOF' CHKLIST AT THE 'TKOF ANNOUNCEMENT' PART. CLRING THE RWY I SAID WE WOULD GO BACK TO THE GATE. I PUT A WRITE-UP IN THE LOGBOOK ABOUT #2 ENG OIL PRESSURE SO THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE TO TELL THE TWR HOW STUPID I WAS; ALTHOUGH THIS TURNS OUT TO BE AN EVEN BIGGER MISTAKE. AT THE GATE I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE CHIEF PLT AT PITTSBURGH AND TOLD HIM ALL. THIS WAS A BAD TRIP SEQUENCE WITH FREEZING RAIN; DELAYS; NO INFO; GET TO THE HOTEL AT XA00 AM TWICE; AN XB15 OVERNIGHT AND MAYBE THE NASAL SPRAY HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM ACN 263593: I HURRIEDLY DID THE OTHER 2 CHKLIST ITEMS BELOW THE LINE WRONGLY ASSUMING THE CAPT HAD DONE THE ABOVE THE LINE ITEMS OF THE 'BEFORE TKOF' CHKLIST WHILE I WAS IN THE CABIN IN ORDER TO SAVE TIME AND NOT EXCEED OUR HOLDOVER TIME.
