AT XA25Z AT 6000 FT ON L DOWNWIND WE WERE CLRED FOR A NIGHT VISUAL TO RWY 21. WX WAS CLR. I (CAPT) WAS FLYING AND STARTED A GENTLE DSNDING L TURN TO THE LOM TO ARRIVE THERE AT 3500 FT ON GS. WHILE TURNING; I GLANCED OUT TO MY FORWARD L AND SAW A SW RWY AND TURNED FINAL ON VASI (3 WHITE; 1 RED). GS AND LOC WERE ERRATIC AND WE RECHKED THE FREQ. WE WERE VISUAL AND ON VASI AND SPD SO MY INSIDE COCKPIT CHK CTRED ON AIRSPD. BELOW 1000 FT WE BECAME MORE CONCERNED AND THEN CONFIRMED WE WERE LINED UP FOR RWY 25. AT ABOUT 600 FT WE EXECUTED A MISS. TWR CLRED US FOR A R DOWNWIND AND CLRED TO LAND RWY 21. TURN IN JUST INSIDE LOM AND INTERCEPTED GS 1 1/2 DOT LOW. LOC OK. RETURNED TO GS AND NORMAL PROFILE LNDG ON RWY 21. MY BIG MISTAKE WAS NOT CONFIRMING ACFT HDG WITH ILS LOC COURSE. I WAS JUST LOOKING AT VASI AND AIRSPD. THE FACT THAT BOTH RWYS ARE ALIGNED SW AND WERE FULLY LIGHTED IS WHAT DREW ME INTO RWY 25. WE ALSO SHOULD HAVE BEEN CONDUCTING MORE INQUIRY AND QUESTIONS AS A CREW. WE WERE BOTH BUYING THE PICTURE. FIRST TIME IN 30 YRS! HONESTLY ; THOUGH; WITH THE NUMBER OF DIFFERENT ARPT WE FLY INTO AND OUT OF; I'M AMAZED IT DOESN'T HAPPEN MORE. LIVE AND LEARN!
