AN ACR CLBED IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII COMMAND.

Narrative

CLEARED FROM 8000 FT TO 6000 FT BY APCH CTL. STARTED DSCNT; TCASII AURAL ALERT TO CLB. COMPLIED WITH TO 8300 FT; THEN WE ADVISED APCH CTL OF CONFLICT AND EVASIVE ACTION ALT. APCH CTL THEN ADVISED US OF CONFLICTING TFC: AFTER CONFLICT RESOLVED; DSNDED TO 8000 FT APCH CTL NOW TOLD US TO MAINTAIN 8000 FT. APCH CTL VERY BUSY WITH OVERALL TFC AND NUMEROUS VOICE COMS; HIGH WORKLOAD WITH LIMITED TIME CONSTRAINTS. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 267114: APCH CTL INSTRUCTED US TO DSND TO 6000 FT FROM 8000 FT. AS SOON AS THE PF (CAPT) INITIATED DSCNT; HAD TCASII ALERT FOLLOWED BY RA; TO CLB IMMEDIATELY. WE SAW TFC ON THE SCREEN AS WELL AS VISUALLY SHORTLY AFTER THIS. THE CAPT DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPLT AND IMMEDIATELY STARTED CLB AS ADVISED BY TCASII. WE CLBED TO APPROX 8300 FT AND BY THIS TIME HAD TFC VISUALLY AND HAD RPTED THIS TO NY APCH. THEY SAID THEY HAD CALLED THE TFC TO US. IF THEY DID; WE DID NOT HEAR IT BECAUSE OF THE TCASII ADVISORY'S GOING OFF AS WELL AS OUR TALK TO GET OUT OF THE CONFLICT.
