NEAR GND COLLISION BTWN SMA AND GND VEHICLE AT NON TWR ARPT.
Narrative
TAXIING ACFT TO COVERED TIE DOWN AREA. AS I APCHED AN UNCTLED (EXCEPT FOR WARNING SIGNS AND FLASHING SIGNALS) INTXN BTWN THE ACFT RAMP AND A ROAD THAT LEADS DIRECTLY INTO THE ARPT; A TRUCK THAT HAD BEEN STATIONARY SUDDENLY PULLED DIRECTLY INTO MY PATH. THE DISTANCE BTWN THE TRUCK AND MY ACFT AT THE TIME WAS LESS THAN 25 FT. I INSTINCTIVELY APPLIED MAX BRAKING EFFORT AND LOCKED UP ON THE MAIN WHEELS CREATING SKID MARKS APPROX 10 FT IN LENGTH. I WAS TAXIING AT A REASONABLE AND SAFE SPD OF APPROX 15 MPH. AFTER THIS OCCURRED; I BECAME ANGERED AT THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK AND PROCEEDED TO GUN THE ACFT'S ENG MAKING IT BACK FIRE SEVERAL TIMES. I RETURNED TO MY TIE DOWN AREA; AT WHICH TIME I YELLED TO THE MAN IN THE VEHICLE THAT HE SHOULD WATCH OUR FOR ACFT ON THE RAMP. HE CONFRONTED ME AND SAID THAT HE NEVER SAW MY ACFT; AND THAT I SHOULD TREAT MY ACFT BETTER. I BELIEVE SEVERAL FACTORS CONTRIBUTE TO THIS OCCURRENCE. THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK WAS INATTENTIVE IN LOOKING FOR XING ACFT. MY OWN ANGER AT THE DRIVER CAUSED ME TO ACT IN A MANNER THAT COULD BE VIEWED AS CARELESS AND RECKLESS. MY RECOMMENDATION AS TO AVOIDING A SIMILAR SIT IS TO BE CONSTANTLY ALERT FOR OTHER VEHICLES (CARS; ACFT) AND NOT TO BE QUICK TEMPERED WHEN AN INCIDENT SUCH AS THIS OCCURS. I FELT QUITE FOOLISH AFTER THIS OCCURRED AS IT RELATED TO MY ACTIONS IN THE COCKPIT. I HAVE NEVER ACTED THIS WAY BEFORE AND WILL NOT ACT IN SUCH A FASHION AGAIN.
