UNAUTH RWY ENTRY. NON ADHERENCE TO ATC INSTRUCTION.
Narrative
OUR INSTRUCTIONS FROM CLE GND CTL WERE TO 'TAXI TO RWY 5L; HOLD SHORT OF RWY 32 ON LIMA.' I TOOK A QUICK GLANCE AT MY ARPT DIAGRAM CHART TO FIND THE APPROPRIATE TXWY AND RWYS. I SOMEHOW GOT THE IMPRESSION THAT RWY 32 (36) WAS FARTHER DOWN TXWY LIMA THAN IT ACTUALLY WAS. THE NEXT THING I HEARD AS WE WERE TAXIING DOWN LIMA WAS GND CTL TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 36. I IMMEDIATELY REALIZED OUR POS AS ACROSS THE RWY 36 HOLD SHORT LINES BUT WELL SHORT OF THE RWY ITSELF. I QUICKLY APPLIED FULL BRAKING AND BROUGHT THE ACFT TO A STOP FOR TFC ROLLING OUT ON RWY 36. I REALIZED LATER THAT I WASN'T THINKING AS CLRLY THAT DAY AS I USUALLY DO. IT WAS MY 6TH CONSECUTIVE DUTY DAY; 6TH LEG OF THE DAY; AND 11TH HR OF DUTY. UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES I CAN REALIZE HOW AN INCIDENT COULD EASILY OCCUR. IN THE FUTURE; I WILL BE MORE VIGILANT WHEN I KNOW I MAY BE TIRED AND FATIGUED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 275591: I COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS INCURSION BY MAKING SURE THAT THE CAPT READ BACK THE INSTRUCTION TO ME AND/OR NOT DONE THE TAXI CHK UNTIL WE WERE STOPPED AT THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND/OR GONE OVER THE ARPT DIAGRAM WITH THE CAPT TO MAKE SURE HE UNDERSTOOD WHERE WE WERE TO HOLD SHORT.
