PLT OF A SMA TWIN BELIEVES THAT HE INADVERTENTLY ENTERED CLASS C AIRSPACE AFTER ATC RADAR SVC WAS TERMINATED.

Narrative

WHILE ENRTE FROM HAYWARD ARPT TO RHV ARPT I WAS RECEIVING FLT FOLLOWING FROM BAY APCH ON 135.40. I WAS DOING APPROX 160 KTS BECAUSE I WAS IN CONTACT WITH BAY AND RECEIVING RADAR SVCS I WAS HEADED RIGHT FOR SAN JOSE'S CLASS 'C' AIRSPACE. I BELIEVE THAT RIGHT AS I WAS ENTERING CLASS C BAY SAYS; 'RADAR SVC TERMINATED; SQUAWK VFR; FREQ CHANGE APPROVED.' I CONTINUED TURNING OUT OF CLASS C AIRSPACE AND LANDED AT RHV. I WAS A LITTLE ANNOYED AT THE CTLR BECAUSE WHEN ONE IS IN A FAST MOVING ACFT; ONE CANNOT PULL UP TO AN ABRUPT HALT TO ASSESS AIRSPACE AND OPTIONS; ESPECIALLY WHEN DOING 160 KTS. I MAY HAVE INADVERTENTLY ENTERED THE CLASS 'C' AIRSPACE WHILE MAKING MY FREQ CHANGE TO RHV TWR. ON THE OTHER HAND; I MAY HAVE BEEN JUST INSIDE THE CLASS 'C' WHEN BAY GAVE ME THE HDOF. I THINK I WILL TAKE A BAY APCH TOUR OVER AT OAKLAND AND SEE IF I CAN'T GET TO THE BOTTOM OF WHAT THE CORRECT RESPONSE ON MY PART SHOULD HAVE BEEN. PERHAPS I SHOULD HAVE NOT ACCEPTED THE FREQ CHANGE UNTIL I ASKED IF I SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH CLASS C. HOWEVER; WHEN I HAVE QUESTIONED BUSY CTLRS IN THE PAST ON SUCH MATTERS; THEY HAVE SEEMED VERY UPTIGHT AND TOO BUSY TO DEAL WITH QUERIES.
