ON CLBOUT DEPARTING SEA -- AT APPROX 17-000-131O KIAS -- IN THE CLR; SCATTERED CLOUDS BELOW; #2 (R) ENG FAILED. FOLLOWED QRH PROCS AND SINCE NO OIL PRESSURE; NO #1 OR #2 INDICATED; PULLED RESPECTIVE FIRE HANDLE. COORDINATED WITH ATC FOR IMMEDIATE RETURN TO SEATAC AND DECLARED AN EMER. THROUGH STATION PERSONNEL AT SEA-TALKED WITH LCL MAINT; RECEIVED CHANGEOVER INFO AND REQUESTED THEY GET OUR DISPATCHER ON THE LAND LINE TO GET HIM IN THE LOOP OF THINGS. RAN ALL APPLICABLE NORMAL CHKLISTS; NOTIFIED FLT ATTENDANTS AND THEN PAX OF THE REQUIREMENT TO RETURN TO SEA BECAUSE OF AN ACFT PROB AND THAT WE WOULD BE LNDG IN ABOUT 15 MINS. ALSO REQUESTED ONE OF THE FLT ATTENDANTS TO DO A VISUAL CHK OF THE RESPECTIVE ENG TO CONFIRM ENG STILL ATTACHED. NOT ON FIRE OR ANY OTHER OBVIOUS INDICATIONS. THEY CONFIRMED ALL LOOKS NORMAL; EXCEPT THAT IT WAS NOT RUNNING. RAN REMAINING CHKLISTS REQUESTED LONG RWY 34R. HAD SEA STATION REMIND DISPATCH IT WOULD BE AN OVERWT LNDG; 138000 LBS; AND RECEIVED HIS CONCURRENCE OF OUR INTENDED ACTION. LANDED OVERWT ON RWY 34R AT SEA; TAXIED TO GATE; THANKED CRASH CREW AND ATC PERSONNEL FOR THEIR HELP AND PARKED THE ACFT. DEBRIEFED LCL MAINT; CALLED OUR DISPATCHER AND TULSA TECHNICIAN TO ANSWER QUESTIONS -- THEY HAD. COMPANY FOUND US ANOTHER AIRPLANE DEPARTED 1.5 HRS LATER FOR UNEVENTFUL TRIP TO ORD.
