TKOF ABORT NECESSITATED BY A RWY INCURSION.
Narrative
AFTER LNDG RWY 31R AT DFW WE TURNED OFF AT TXWY AND GIVEN CLRNC TO HOLD SHORT RWY 35R ON TXWY 19. THE CTLR WAS EXTREMELY BUSY AND TALKING VERY RAPIDLY. AT TIMES NOT EVEN ALLOWING ACFT TO RESPOND TO INSTRUCTIONS. WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS RWY 35R AND HOLD SHORT RWY 35L. AFTER WE CROSSED RWY 35R; WE WERE TOLD TO 'EXPEDITE ACROSS' AND WE THOUGHT HE SAID RWY 35L. I BROUGHT THE PWR UP AND STARTED TO TAXI WHEN WE THOUGHT WE SHOULD GET A SECOND VERIFICATION THAT WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS RWY 35L AND 'EXPEDITE THE XING.' WE HAD ANOTHER PLT RIDING JUMPSEAT AND HE STATED THAT HE UNDERSTOOD OUR CLRNC WAS TO CROSS RWY 35L. I HAD ALREADY BEGUN TO MOVE ACROSS THE HOLD LINE WHEN THE CTLR STATED 'NO! HOLD SHORT OF RWY 35L.' WITH PART OF THE ACFT ON THE RWY AND THE PWR UP. I FELT IT SAFER TO CONTINUE ACROSS IMMEDIATELY AND CLR THE RWY. APPARENTLY AN ACR JET HAD BEEN CLRED FOR TKOF AND WAS TOLD BY THE CTLR TO ABORT. I BELIEVE WHERE THE COM WAS MISUNDERSTOOD; IS THE CTLR DID NOT KNOW WE HAD ALREADY CROSSED RWY 35R WHEN HE GAVE INSTRUCTIONS TO EXPEDITE ACROSS AND; WITH THE RUSH HE WAS IN; WE FELT HE SAID OR MEANT RWY 35L SINCE THAT IS WHERE WE WERE HOLDING. OTHER FACTORS BEING NIGHT AND HOW MANY ACFT WERE BEING HANDLED AT THE SAME TIME BY 1 CTLR.
