DURING DEP; THE FO FLYING; FAILED TO TURN SOON ENOUGH PER SID RESULTING IN PENETRATION OF ADJACENT AIRSPACE.

Narrative

WHILE TAXIING ONTO DEP RWY; CAPT ADVISED 'YOU HAVE THE BRAKES' INDICATING I WAS TO ACCOMPLISH THE TKOF. TKOF WAS NORMAL AND FO INITIATED TURN TOWARD CANARSIE VOR. AT 1500 FT RECEIVED AN AIR SUPPLY ADVISORY. CAPT CHANGED FREQ TO DEP CTL AND COULD NOT MAKE CONTACT. RETURNED TO TWR AND RECEIVED CORRECT FREQ. PRIOR TO CONTACTING DEP CTL; LEVELING AT 5000 FT MSL AND 1 MI FROM CANARSIE VOR; ACFT EXPERIENCED AN AUTOFLT MALFUNCTION. DUE TO THESE DISTRS; THE TURN TO THE SID DEP COURSE OF CRI/176 DEG RADIAL WAS DELAYED FOR A SHORT PERIOD. ALTHOUGH THE TURN WAS INITIATED; WE WERE ADVISED ON INITIAL CONTACT WITH NY DEP TO CONTINUE THE TURN TO 080 DEGS. THE CTLR ASKED WHAT SID WE WERE ASSIGNED. WE WERE ADVISED WE ENCROACHED LGA AIRSPACE. NO APPARENT CONFLICTS APPEARED TO HAVE OCCURRED WITH OTHER ACFT; I.E.; TCASII CTLR. NO FURTHER DISCUSSION WITH THE CTLR OTHER THAN NORMAL ATC DIRECTIONS. ACFT SYS PROBS WERE CORRECTED PER FLT MANUAL PROCS. REMAINDER OF FLT NORMAL. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: FIRST LEG OF DAY HAD PAX WITH FATAL HEART ATTACK ON JET BRIDGE. I FEEL THIS MAY HAVE AFFECTED MY PERFORMANCE SOMEWHAT. MULTIPLE MALFUNCTIONS AND INABILITY TO CONTACT DEP AT CRITICAL TIME CAUSED CREW DISTRS. THESE DISTRS CAUSED LATE TURN INITIATION. FO ON RESERVE; 21 DAYS SINCE LAST FLT AS PF. CAPT FAILED TO ADVISE FO PRIOR TO TAKING RWY; THAT IT WOULD BE THE FO FLYING. CAPT MADE REQUESTS OF FO DISTRACTING HIM FROM PRIMARY DUTY OF FLYING THE ACFT. CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: ENSURE COMPLETE PREDEP BRIEFING; I.E.; WHO FLIES; SIDS; FREQ FOR DEP. MAINTAIN PRIMARY DUTY INTEGRITY. MAKE EFFORTS TO HAVE RESERVE PLTS FLY MORE FREQUENTLY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 289257: BELIEVE THE FO BECAME OVERCONCERNED WITH THE SYS FAILURES WHILE IT WAS HIS TURN TO FLY.
