WAKE TURB; SMT BEHIND C-130.

Narrative

WE WERE VECTORED FOR AN ILS APCH TO RWY 14 AT SHV. APCH GAVE US ALT; HDGS AND SPD. NEARING CRAKK WE WERE HANDED OFF TO TWR AND CLRED FOR THE APCH. AS WE WERE BREAKING OUT; THE TWR ASKED IF WE HAD A C-130 IN SIGHT IN FRONT OF US FOR THE OPTION TO RWY 14 AND ADVISED US TO REDUCE TO APCH SPD. WE WERE 1 MI IN TRAIL. WE WERE OBVIOUSLY AT APCH SPD SINCE WE WERE ON AN ILS APCH. AT THE MIDDLE MARKER WE ENCOUNTERED WAKE TURB WHICH ROLLED THE ACFT VIOLENTLY TO THE L AND WAS COUNTERED BY FULL R AILERON AND PWR ARRESTING THE ROLL GOING THROUGH 45 DEGS. THE C- 130 WAS THEN ON HIS WAY FOR ANOTHER OPTION. POINT OF CONCERN: THE TWRS ALL AROUND ARE SO INTENT ON GETTING THE COUNT FROM THESE GUARD AND MIL AIRPLANES THAT THE REST OF AVIATION IS GETTING THE SHAFT WHEN IT COMES TO SAFETY AND COURTESY. I DON'T THINK A C-130 OR ANY OTHER ACFT HAS ANY BUSINESS VFR IN THE TFC PATTERN WHEN ONE CANNOT MAKE A VISUAL APCH TO THE ARPT. SECOND; RUNNING THESE ACFT IN FRONT OF OTHERS PURELY FOR THE COUNT IS A RECKLESS WAY OF DOING THINGS. THE MONTH OF DEC SEEMS TO BE THE MOST HECTIC. THESE GUYS ARE ALL HITTING IT FOR CHRISTMAS MONEY AND THE FUEL BURN FOR THE NEXT BUDGET. THE CTLRS ARE AFTER THE COUNT FOR AN INCREASE IN PAY AND THE REST OF US ARE HUNG OUT. THIS SIT LEFT UNDESIRABLE OPTIONS AND IT SEEMED WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE CONSIDERING OPTIONS. THIS SCENARIO IS BEING RE-ENACTED AT ARPTS THROUGHOUT WHERE THE NATIONAL GUARD OR MIL FREQUENT.
