WRONG RWY APCH.
Narrative
AT CRUISE CAPT SET ATIS; RAMP AND RWY 35R LOC BY MEMORY. FO LATER VERIFIED PROPER FREQ UNKNOWN TO CAPT. CAPT LATER; BEFORE DSCNT; PICKED UP APCH CHARTS TO RWY 35L AND TUNED IT; SINCE PREVIOUS TUNING WAS BY MEMORY. HOWEVER; RWY 35R SHOULD HAVE BEEN APPROPRIATE PLATE. THIS DONE WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF FO. WX WAS ABOVE 1000 FT AND 3 SO A BRIEFING WAS NOT REQUIRED. CLRED FOR RWY 35R WE ENGAGED LAND MODE AND WAS QUESTIONED ABOUT THE MARKER AS TO WHETHER OR NOT WE HAD THE LOC WE VERIFIED ON CTRLINE AS WE BROKE OUT ABOUT 1200 FLT AGL. WE SAW WE WERE ON THE L AND AS WE STARTED TO CORRECT (SIDESTEP) TO RWY 35R TWR ASKED OUR LOC FREQ 111.35 AND CLRED US TO CONTINUE AND LAND ON RWY 35L. A MISTAKE MADE BY THE CAPT BUT NO APPARENT VIOLATIONS INCURRED. ON 15 MI SCALE MAP MODE IT ALSO LOOKED NORMAL FOR RWY 35R. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 291033: PRIOR TO DSCNT I CHKED THE ILS FREQ WAS CORRECT AND TUNED THE NDB AND SELECTED ILS RWY 35R IN THE FMS SINCE I WAS FLYING. ON FINAL WE WERE CLRED ILS RWY 35R AND INTERCEPTED IN ON AUTOPLT IN 'LAND' MODE. NO TFC PROBS OCCURRED AS A RESULT AS FAR AS WE KNOW.
