WDB ACFT ENCOUNTERS TURB. 2 CABIN ATTENDANTS INJURED.

Narrative

WHILE CLBING TO CRUISE ALT FROM MIA TO JFK AT APPROX FL250 TO FL260 WE ENCOUNTERED LIGHT TURB. PRIOR TO ENTRY INTO THE CLOUDS; I TURNED THE FASTEN SEAT BELT SIGN ON AND COMMENTED TO THE CAPT 'THAT WITH THE LIGHT PAX LOAD OF 175 PAX; AND THE SVC BEING ONLY SNACKS; I WOULD LIKE THE CABIN CREW TO SIT DOWN AND SUSPEND SVCS.' HE AGREED AND THE SO (FE) MADE THE PA ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE CABIN CREW TO SIT DOWN. WE ENTERED THE CLOUDS AND APPROX 2-3 MINS LATER RECEIVED OUR FIRST MODERATE TURB ENCOUNTER. NO RADAR RETURNS INDICATED ANYTHING BUT MOISTURE 25-30 MI ON EITHER SIDE OF OUR FLT PATH. THE CONTINUOUS LIGHT; OCCASIONALLY MODERATE; TURB CONTINUED UNTIL APPROX FL390 WHERE WE WERE ON TOP AND SMOOTH. AFTER LEVELOFF AT FL410 THE FLT SVC MGR ENTERED AND INFORMED US THAT 2 FLT ATTENDANTS WERE INJURED; HOWEVER A DOCTOR ON BOARD THE FLT WAS ATTENDING THEM. THEIR BRUISES WERE WRIST AND NECK; RESPECTIVELY; AND NO PAX WERE INJURED. BOTH THE CAPT AND SO (FE) MADE SEPARATE TRIPS TO THE CABIN AND WERE SATISFIED ALL WAS WELL. CALLS TO JFK WERE MADE TO HAVE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES MEET THE FLT; AND THEY DID. PAX COMPLAINTS WERE TAKEN. EVERYONE WALKED OFF THE ACFT. THE CABIN ATTENDANTS WHO WERE INJURED CAUGHT OTHER FLTS TO THEIR HOME TOWNS.
