FLC OF AN LTT TOOK OFF ON IFR FLT TO A DEST ARPT THAT WAS RPTING BELOW WX MINIMUMS.

Narrative

I WAS THE CAPT ON A B-1900 DOING MY PREFLT WX PLANNING FOR A PAX FLT FROM BOSTON TO HYANNIS; MA. THE CURRENT AND FORECAST WX IS USUALLY PRINTED UP ON A FLT RELEASE FOR EVERY FLT. HOWEVER; THIS PARTICULAR TIME; COMPUTER PRINTER PROBS CAUSED PART OF THE RELEASE TO BE MISPRINTED AND UNREADABLE. THE PORTION THAT WAS MISPRINTED WAS THE WX AND ARPT CONDITIONS FOR HYA. I HAD CALLED MY DISPATCHER FOR A CURRENT FORECAST. HAVING GIVEN THEM THE OPTION TO EITHER SEND A NEW RELEASE OR READ ME THE WX SO I COULD PUT IT ON MY RELEASE; THEY VERBALLY TOLD ME THE HYA FORECAST. THE FORECAST WAS ABOVE LNDG MINIMUMS FOR HYA FOR ABOUT 1 HR AFTER ETA. AFTER CHKING THE CURRENT WX AND NOTAMS FOR HYA; THE FLT DEPARTED. ABOUT 1/2 WAY THROUGH THE FLT; THE CREW FOUND CURRENT HYA ATIS WX HAD GONE BELOW LNDG MINIMUMS. THE CREW HAD RELAYED THIS INFO TO COMPANY OPS AND THEN REQUESTED ATC CLRNC BACK TO BOS. THE FLT LANDED IN BOS WITHOUT EVENT. 2 DAYS LATER THE CHIEF PLT NOTIFIED THE CAPT THAT; ACCORDING TO DISPATCH; HE (I) ALLEGEDLY TOOK OFF WITH HYA CURRENT AND FORECAST WX BELOW LNDG MINIMUMS AND WILL SEEK ACTIONS AGAINST THE CAPT.
