ARPT PROB TXWY MARKING.

Narrative

AFTER RECEIVING TAXI INSTRUCTIONS (FROM HANGAR TURN L HOLD SHORT OF TXWY E) WE CROSSED PAST TXWY E AND PROCEEDED TO TXWY D WHICH IS A PARALLEL TXWY. I DID SPEAK UP; BUT THE CAPT DID NOT HEAR ME AND I DID NOT STEP ON BRAKES AS TO OUR PASSAGE OF THE TXWY E. I FEEL THAT THE INTXN OF TXWY M AND TXWY E IS NOT PROPERLY MARKED. I ALSO FEEL THAT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ASSERTIVE. BUT IT WAS THE FIRST TIME WE BOTH FLEW TOGETHER. THE GND CTLR THEN CLRED US TO RAMP VIA TXWY D; CROSS RWY 27; NO FURTHER INCIDENT. IT ONCE AGAIN PROVES THAT ONE SHOULD BE MORE AWARE WHILE ON THE GND. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR FLIES THE CL-65 'CANADAIR' FOR A LARGE REGIONAL ACR. THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED AT CVG; HIS HOME BASE. THE FO WAS BUSY DOING FIRST FLT OF THE DAY ITEMS. THIS IS A SHORT LIST; BUT IT IS A SHORT TAXI. TXWY E IS NOT MARKED GOING W ON TXWY M. THE TWR WAS NOT UPSET AS THE ACFT DID NOT CROSS THE RWY WITHOUT CLRNC. THE RPTR BELIEVES THAT HE COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS BY BEING MORE ATTENTIVE TO WHERE THEY WERE GOING AND BEING MORE ASSERTIVE.
