Narrative
THIS FLT ORIGINATED AT SAT ARPT AT XA00 AM LCL TIME. PRIOR TO DEPT I CONSUMED A BREAKFAST OF EGGS; 2 CANS OF APPLE JUICE; AND 1 GLASS OF MILK; UNKNOWING TO ME; IT WAS THIS EARLY MEAL WHICH WOULD CASE PROBS AT HRL ARPT. THE FIRST LEG; SAT TO LRD ARPT; WAS UNEVENTFUL; AFTER A 5 (FIVE) MIN STOP AT LRD; I DEPARTED FOR HRL AND BECAME AWARE OF POOR AND DETERIORATING WX AT THE ARPT. ABOUT 35 MI NW OF THE HRL ARPT; I BEGAN EXPERIENCING SEVERE STOMACH DISCOMFORT. WITH NO IMMEDIATE REMEDY AT HAND; I CONTINUED THE FLT AND HOPED THIS DISCOMFORT WOULD GO AWAY. CLOSER TO THE ARPT; MY DISCOMFORT NOT ONLY PERSISTED BUT I WAS ADVISED THAT THE VISIBILITY AT HRL ARPT WAS NOW AT 1/4 MI. AT THIS TIME; I WAS 5 MI OUTSIDE OF THE MARKER AND ABOUT 30 SECONDS FROM PICKING UP THE LOC. I ELECTED TO ATTEMPT THE APCH WITHOUT THE REQUIRED VISIBILITY (PER FAR 135) FOR THESE REASONS: 1) MY STOMACH PAIN CONTINUED AND I WANTED TO LAND BEFORE IT WORSENED OR INCAPACITATED ME. 2) VISIBILITY RPTS BY HRL TWR ARE USUALLY NOT VERY ACCURATE; THUS LEADING ME TO BELIEVE I COULD MAKE IT IN. 3) MY FORWARD FLT VISIBILITY ABOVE THE CLOUDS WAS VERY GOOD. I ATTEMPTED THE APCH; AND WENT 'MISSED APCH' AFTER NOT SEEING THE RWY; I IMMEDIATELY PROCEEDED TO BRO ARPT AND LANDED; AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. LESSONS LEARNED - WATCH WHAT YOU EAT BEFORE A FLT AND DON'T BE COMPROMISED BY STOMACH UPSET - IT MAY LEAD YOU INTO BIGGER PROBS IF YOU LOWER YOUR OWN SAFETY STANDARDS.
