Narrative
IN SUM: RPTR IS A FO THAT RPTS ON THE CAPT'S WORK ACTIONS. HE IS CONCERNED THAT THE CAPT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE NORMAL OPERATING PROCS. THE CAPT'S MAIN FAULTS BEGIN TO OCCUR DURING THE LAST DAYS OF THE TRIP THEY ARE FLYING TOGETHER. THE CAPT MISSED THE FIRST DAY OF THE TRIP. HE HAD THE 'FLU' THE PREVIOUS WK AND WAS NOW FEELING OKAY. HOWEVER; HE WAS TAKING MORE AND MORE OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS AS THE TRIP EXTENDED INTO THE 3RD AND 4TH DAY. ERRORS THAT STARTED SHOWING UP WERE SUCH THINGS AS: POOR DECISION MAKING IN VOR APCH AT ORLANDO. HE PULLED THE GPWS CIRCUIT BREAKER IN THE BAHAMAS SO THEY COULD FLY AT LOW LEVELS AND NOT BE BOTHERED BY ANY PULL-UP SOUNDS. CAPT OMITTED SOME CHKLISTS. DISCOURAGED FO FROM COMPLETING WT AND BAL. WOULD NOT BE TRUTHFUL REGARDING AIRSPD WHEN ASKED BY APCH CTLRS. RPTR FEELS CAPT'S ACTIONS SEEM TO PARALLEL THE AMOUNT OF OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICATIONS HE WAS CONSUMING. IT APPEARS HE WAS NOT OVER ALL THE EFFECTS OF HAVING THE 'FLU.' CAPT'S CONDUCT SHOWS LACK OF GOOD JUDGMENT AND HOSTILITY OVER MANY OF THE ACTIONS THAT CONSCIENTIOUS FLCS USE. RPT ENDS WITH THE CAPT TAKING MORE MEDICATION AT CONCLUSION OF THE FLT.
