CORP PLT EXPERIENCES DIZZINESS AND DISORIENTATION ON TKOF IN IMC.
Narrative
DEPARTED HILLSBORO IN R SEAT OF COMPANY JET. CONDITIONS WERE IMC; UPON LIFTOFF; I BECAME DISORIENTED AND DIZZY (VERTIGO). OTHER PLT WAS FLYING AND; AFTER POPPING THROUGH 2000 FT DECK; MY VISUAL CUES IMMEDIATELY CLRED UP. WE CONTINUED TO PUEBLO IN CLR CONDITIONS. WE REFUELED AND FLEW ON TO MOBILE. THIS TIME; ON THE LEG FROM PUEBLO TO MOBILE; I FLEW THE PLANE. IT WAS AS RPTED; CLR AND VFR; THE WHOLE WAY. AT THE TIME; I FELT THAT SINCE THE PHYSICAL PROB ONLY OCCURRED IN IFR AND LOW VISIBILITY; I WAS FINE TO FLY THE SEVERE CLR LEG (VFR). ON REFLECTION; AFTER ARRIVING AT MOBILE I GNDED MYSELF WITH MY COMPANY AND RPTED TO VARIOUS DOCTORS WHO HAVE NOT YET IDENTED THE PROB; I HAVEN'T FLOWN SINCE! THE POINT OF THE ASRS RPT IS THAT I PROBABLY USED POOR JUDGEMENT FLYING THE LEG FROM PUB-MOB; POSSIBLY VIOLATED AN FAR ON MEDICALS. I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE VIOLATED AN FAR CONTINUING ON IN THE R SEAT; REGARDLESS OF THE WX. I SHOULD HAVE GNDED THE PLANE AND MYSELF AT PUB. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS ARE 'GET HOMEITIS;' KNOWLEDGE THAT EVEN IF I WERE INCAPACITATED THE 10 YR CAPT COULD GET US HOME FROM R SEAT; WX WAS TOTALLY CLR. OTHER FACTORS - NOT COMPLETING MISSIONS AGGRAVATES COMPANY. WHEN TIMES ARE TOUGH; MISSION COMPLETION AND SMOOTH UNINTERRUPTED OP OVERRULE GOOD SENSE THINKING. OTHER PLT WAS NOT AWARE OF MY PROB UNTIL DAYS AFTER MOB ARR. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES HE HAS AN AILMENT CALLED MOTION INTOLERANCE SYNDROME. HE IS CURRENTLY ON DISABILITY AND IS GNDED. HIS COMPANY LET HIM GO WHEN THE DIAGNOSIS CAME THROUGH. HE IS OBVIOUSLY VERY DEPRESSED BUT DOCTORS INDICATE THAT MOST OFTEN THESE SYMPTOMS TEND TO DIMINISH OVER TIME.
