SMT COMMUTER PLT BELIEVES HE LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative
I WAS AT 3000 FT MSL ON A 2 MI BASE LEG FOR RWY 19L AT LAS. I WAS MAINTAINING A VISUAL SEPARATION FROM ANOTHER C-402 WAS FOLLOWING. AS I APCHED THE FINAL COURSE FOR RWY 19L BEHIND THE TFC I WAS TOLD BY APCH CTLR TO FOLLOW THE TFC. I DID AS I WAS INSTRUCTED. I CONTINUED ONTO FINAL AND LANDED BEHIND THE TFC AFTER HE HAD CLRED THE RWY. AS THIS TFC WAS ROLLING OUT AND I WAS ON SHORT FINAL; AN EMER WAS OCCURRING WITH A DC-9 ON THE FIELD ON A TXWY THAT INTERSECTS WITH RWY 19L PAST WHISKEY. I LANDED ON RWY 19L BEHIND THE C-402 I WAS FOLLOWING. APCH CTL DID NOT SWITCH ME TO TWR AND THE TWR HAD NOT CLRED ME TO LAND AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER. I LANDED AND TURNED OFF AT SIERRA FACING W. UPON CLRING THE RWY I REALIZED I HAD NOT READ BACK A LNDG CLRNC. I CONTACTED GND ON 121.9; STATED MY POS ON THE FIELD AND ASKED IF THERE WAS A PROB WITH MY LNDG. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOT A PROB WITH LNDG AND TOLD TO TAXI TO PARKING. THE APCH CTLR; TWR CTLR; AND GND CTLR DID NOT EXPRESS ANY CONCERN WITH MY LNDG. I THINK THEY ASSUMED I WAS CLRED TO LAND EVEN THOUGH I CANNOT REMEMBER READING BACK A LNDG CLRNC. AS I WAS ON SHORT FINAL THE CTLRS HAD DIVERTED THEIR ATTN TO THE EMER AT THE SAME TIME I HAD DIVERTED MY ATTN TO LNDG AND MAKING MY FINAL GEAR CHK. THE RWY I LANDED ON WAS COMPLETELY FREE OF ANY ACFT OR EMER VEHICLES FOR ITS ENTIRE LENGTH. THE CTLRS WERE BUSY DIRECTING 8 ACFT ON THE TXWYS NEAR THE DISTRESSED DC-9; 4 OF WHICH WERE T-38'S COMMUNICATING ON UHF BANDS AND A VARIETY OF EMER VEHICLES. THE RESPONSE I RECEIVED FROM THE GND CTLR GAVE ME THE IMPRESSION I HAD DONE WHAT THEY EXPECTED ME TO DO; WHICH WAS LAND. I WAS NOT ASKED TO ACCOUNT FOR LNDG BY ANY OF THE CTLING AGENCIES. I MAY OF BEEN CLRED TO LAND AND JUST NOT RESPONDED. I DID NOT CREATE ANY HAZARD TO MYSELF OR OTHERS AS FAR AS I KNOW.
