LOW ALT FLT ON FERRY FLT WITH COMMUTER LTT.

Narrative

THIS RPT IS FILED AS AN EXAMPLE OF THE RESULTS OF POOR EXECUTION OF CREW RESOURCE MGMNT TECHNIQUES. BECAUSE OF A MAINT DELAY WE CANCELED OUR SCHEDULED TRIP AND FERRIED OUR ACFT TO RFD. ENRTE WE PASSED OVER OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. THE CAPT INITIATED A DSCNT TO 1200 FT AGL AND PERFORMED A STEEP TURN OVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD. HE THEN CONTINUED ON TO OUR DEST. IN MY OPINION; THIS QUALIFIES AS A COCKPIT RESOURCE MGMNT FAILURE DUE TO THE FACT I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE SIT AND DID NOT VOICE MY CONCERN. ALTHOUGH THE OP WAS LEGAL AND WE DISCUSSED A PLAN TO FLY OVER OUR HOMES; I WAS NOT PLANNING ON MAKING SUCH A 'SCENE.' I HAD ADEQUATE CHANCE TO MAKE MY FEELINGS KNOWN BUT DID NOT. THIS FAILURE TO COM MY FEELINGS WAS DUE TO THE UNEXPECTED ACTION; AS WELL AS A RELATIVELY POOR UNDERSTANDING OF THE MOST TACTFUL WAY TO PRESENT MY VIEWS. IN THE FUTURE; I WILL FOLLOW THE PACE MODEL DEVELOPED BY PSYCHOLOGIST (REF BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL AVIATION; APRIL 1995; PAGE 7). I ALSO WILL ENSURE TO BRIEF MYSELF MORE COMPLETELY WHEN PERFORMING AN OP THAT IS NON-STANDARD.
